Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Arena PowerMatch community. We’re building a space for people to connect, support, and grow together in their careers. Every member has a right to feel safe, respected, and included. These Community Guidelines set the expectations for how members should interact and outline what’s not allowed. Violation of these rules may result in warnings, content removal, suspension, or account termination. By participating, you agree to uphold these guidelines.

1. Be Respectful

Treat every member with courtesy, professionalism, and respect boundaries. Constructive dialogue is encouraged; personal attacks are not.

Do not: engage in insults, intimidation, or belittling behavior.

We don’t allow:

  • Harassment, bullying, or abusive language.
  • Unsolicited remarks about appearance, body, gender identity, or personal attributes.
  • Threats, shaming, or incitement of violence.

2. Be Inclusive

This community thrives on diversity of background and perspective. Everyone deserves to feel safe and welcome.

Do not: discriminate against others.

We don’t allow:

  • Hate speech, slurs, or demeaning stereotypes.
  • Harassment or targeting based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
  • Content that denies or diminishes another person’s identity or belonging.

3. Be Authentic

Trust is built on truth. Your profile (name, profile photo, roles, goals, location, etc.) and interactions should reflect your real identity and intentions.

Do not: misrepresent yourself.

We don’t allow:

  • Impersonation or fake profiles.
  • False claims about your role, experience, or credentials.
  • Multiple accounts created to manipulate matches or to evade penalties.
  • Non-authentic profile photos — no avatars, cartoons, logos, or random images (e.g., objects, scenery). Your profile must use a clear headshot of you.

4. Protect Privacy, Safety & Confidentiality

Respect your own privacy and that of others. Conversations in Arena PowerMatch are private by default, and personal details should only be shared thoughtfully and with consent.

Do not: expose or misuse private information.

We don’t allow:

  • Sharing another member’s messages, transcripts, or conversation details without their consent.
  • Broadcasting personal contact information (phone, email, address) publicly on your profile.
  • Unsafe or irrelevant links, files, or attachments.
  • Off-platform misconduct — behavior in virtual or in-person meetings with Arena PowerMatch connections must uphold the same standards of our full guidelines.

5. No Harassment or Misconduct

Arena PowerMatch is a professional space, not a dating app. Members must feel safe from harassment of any kind.

Do not: send unwanted advances or inappropriate content.

We don’t allow:

  • Sexual overtures, flirtation, or suggestive content/messages.
  • Unsolicited images, videos, GIFs, or links.
  • Coercion, intimidation, or harassment in any form.

6. Commit to Meeting Your Matches

Arena PowerMatch is built on reliability. When you and another member both choose to connect (a “mutual match”), you are expected to schedule and complete a meeting.

Meetings can take place virtually, by phone, or in person—whatever works best for both members. If something changes, you must take action: communicate clearly and reschedule in advance.

Do not: ghost or waste another member’s time.

We don’t allow:

  • Ghosting — ignoring messages, disappearing without explanation, or failing to follow up.
  • Repeated no-shows — missing scheduled meetings without notice.
  • Misleading availability — saying yes to matches you cannot actually commit to.

7. Engage Thoughtfully

Arena PowerMatch is for career growth, mentorship, and collaboration. It’s the place to start meaningful conversations. Keep outreach relationship-driven, not transactional.

Do not: treat this like a spam or sales channel.

We don’t allow:

  • Mass outreach or spamming — blasting untargeted messages or copy-pasted pitches.
  • Unsolicited promotions or sales funnels — pitching products, services, or recruitment without context or consent.
  • Service-related outreach to members who have not opted in via their Services page. (If a member has listed services, relevant outreach is welcome.)
  • Recruitment outreach unless clearly permitted by features.
  • Bots, scraping, or automation to manipulate interactions.
  • Fraud, phishing, or exploitative schemes.

8. No Threats, Violence, or Illegal Activity

Arena PowerMatch must remain a safe space for all members.

Do not: promote or engage in harmful activity.

We don’t allow:

  • Threats, glorification of violence, or encouragement of harm.
  • Criminal activity, trafficking, or exploitation.
  • Extremist content, dangerous organizations, or illegal substances.

9. Reporting & Enforcement

If you encounter behavior that violates these policies, use the Report feature.

Do not: ignore violations — report them.

We don’t allow:

  • Repeated or severe infractions without consequences. Depending on severity, we may issue warnings, remove content, restrict accounts, or permanently remove members.
  • Serious violations (e.g., threats, harassment, fraud), which carry zero tolerance.

10. Updates

These guidelines may evolve as the community grows. You’ll be notified of substantive changes, and continued use of Arena means acceptance of the latest version.
